During the Mid-Autumn Festival in Beijing, the people worship “Tuzi Grandpa”. This custom originated from the Ming Dynasty. According to the belief that there is Chang’e, the Moon Goddess, and the Jade Rabbit in the Moon Palace, the Jade Rabbit was further artistic, personified, and even deified. People used clay to shape Tuzi Grandpa in various forms. Nowadays, Tuzi Grandpa has become one of the most representative intangible cultural heritages of Beijing.
